Now I heard that we had a website, but I thought someone was pulling my leg. But the Metro bus that cut me off today confirmed it all--my neighborhood has a website.
Maybe I should get over it. I mean, I live in a trendy little neighborhood. We have events, parades, art, family, fun. But a website seems a little extreme.
Since I was curious, and was having trouble getting the image of the bus that almost killed me out of my mind, I took a peek at visitdelray.com. It's aesthetically pleasing, pseudo-informative, and still annoying the hell out of me. I mean they have McDonald's listed as a restaurant, which technically it is, but come on. I doubt that's a reason to visit Del Ray. I just feel like a tool for living in a neighborhood with a website. But with the way property is still nuts around here, I am sure I won't be living here for too much longer.
When it's all said and done, I suppose if I can have a site, so can my community.
