I have gotten to the point in my life where I am okay to eat in public by myself. I carry something to read with me at all times, for just this occasion.
Obviously the staff Quiznos had a different feeling about women dining alone. He kept asking questions: Are you really going to eat alone? Are you sure? Do you want us to come out and sit with you? Is anyone else coming? Do you want to call someone?
He finally stopped with the questions but gave me a 15% discount on my meal. Said I should get something for being by myself.
